Great Week for SMGS Sport

There was no end to the SMGS sporting achievements this week with the Girls Basketball team beating off St Marys of Midelton to become Cork Under 19 Girls Champions. Following on from this, the Boys Under 16 Basketball team also did the school proud with a great win over Coláiste Choilm making them the South U16 A Champions. Not to be outdone by the boys, the Junior Camogie Team Mount Mercy to become Junior B County Champs and will now be competing at Junior A level. The success was not just amongst the students of SMGS but our very own Ms. Sheehan was named Camogie Player of the year also this week in the GAA clubs Allstars. Well done to all the players and trainers involved in such fantastic successes and doing the school proud.
