Green Schools visit to Carrigtwohill Waste Water Treatment Plant

Last Tuesday morning just prior to  the arrival of the Beast from the East our Green Schools' Committee  took a trip to Carrigtwohill Waste Water Treatment Plant.  Twelve members of the committee along with their teachers were given a guided tour by plant operator Colman . The tour followed the treatment of used domestic and commercial waste water and its eventual release into Ringiskiddy Harbour. This year our Green Schools' Committee are applying for their third Green Flag. Well done to our Green Schools' Committee for their hard work and dedication over the last year.
