Our U19s got knocked out of the Munster Competition with an unlucky defeat away to Mercy Mount Hawk of Tralee. It was a fiercely contested match between 2 good teams, but our lads were unfortunate to be losing after conceding a non-existent penalty and an own goal. Following a spectacular goal from Craig Hourigan, and a clinical finish from Josh Lombardi, we were peppering their box at the end of the match trying to find an equaliser, but the opposition broke away in the final minute to end the match 4-2. It was another excellent display from all the players, who should be proud of their achievements over the course of the season.

Our U15s had previously had 2 comeback victories during the year, and unfortunately the reverse happened in their latest Munster knock-out match, against St. Colman's, Fermoy. Our lads were 2-0 up thanks to a great finish from Evan McCarthy, and a one-on-one from Cillian Egan, but our opponents were unlucky to be losing at that stage, and deservedly came back to score 4 goals and knock SMGS out of the competition. It was overall a successful tournament, and there is plenty to look forward to when they next play in the Cork Cup in early spring.
